Accessibility Statement
howtoma.ke is committed to making its guides and site features usable by as many people as possible.
Our conformance target
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and this statement describes the features currently implemented in this site.
Accessibility features
- A skip-to-content link lets keyboard users move directly past the shared site header to the main page content.
- The interface is keyboard navigable, including the primary navigation, search controls, guide actions, forms, and mobile menu.
- Pages use semantic landmark elements such as headers, navigation regions, main content areas, sections, and footers where applicable.
- Interactive controls and links have visible focus indicators so keyboard focus remains apparent.
- All guide images include alternative text that identifies the guide represented by the image.
- Motion and transitions respect the browser or operating system's
prefers-reduced-motionsetting. - Toast notifications used for guide feedback provide an adjustable timing experience: they can be dismissed with a keyboard-focusable close button, and their automatic dismissal pauses while a user is interacting with them.
